Make Firefox look like Chrome

Dikirim oleh elyass

Assalamualaikum...

Recently a lot of people including myself wanted to switch to chrome due to the beautiful interface, yet Firefox is way better with its superb extensions and added functionality. Therefore if you are a person who only likes Chrome for its outside beauty and would want the functionality and heart of Firefox well here is a cosmetic customization article for Firefox.

1. Install Chromifox Firefox theme - This is a Chrome theme for Firefox (the best that is out there), First install this. Uninstall any extensions that change the visual appearance mainly a plugin called Glasser.

2. Install Compact Menu 2 to hide the Firefox menubar.

3. Install Download Statusbar - Another Firefox-chrome difference is the download status. When you download a file in Firefox browser a window pops out when showing the download status (time remaining, size of file) whereas in Google chrome the download status is seen in the status bar.

Downloading Statusbar Firefox addon will bring the Chrome status bar download feature in your Firefox browser.

4. Install Locationbar2 - Makes the Firefox addressbar fully resemble the Chrome addressbar.

5. Install Stylish (this is a custom styles manager for Firefox, similar to greasemonkey but manages styles instead of scripts)

6. After installing stylish you can even more customize Firefox using the custom styles. Download and use the following custom user styles.

Tab Bar: Want to move the tab bar to the top of the window, as seen in Google Chrome? Yes that’s possible with this experimental hack.

Back/Forward Menu: To access the drop-down menu for the Back and Forward functions, simply right click the Back button or Forward button. If that’s not enough, use this user style.

Extra Modifications: You can make Chromifox your own by adding even more modifications, like smaller or larger text in the location bar and search bar. Also, you can hide the “favicons” or text labels in the Bookmarks Toolbar, prevent tab scrolling by setting a smaller minimum tab width, and get rid of useless menu items. For these and more, use this user style.

Customize Locationbar2: Customize the locationbar extension even more by categorizing the static dynamic and image pages with 3 different colors.

That’s all, and please add your ideas and thoughts, in the comments below.
